  • WHAT TYPES OF EVENTS WORK BEST FOR YOUR SPACE?
    We can accommodate many types of events! We offer a variety of spaces in our North Loop winery that may be coupled with a true Minnesota wine experience. We host corporate events, networking events, engagement parties, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, and many more.
  • WHAT DOES AXEBRIDGE PROVIDE FOR MY RENTAL?
    On-site furniture as described for each space Complimentary water station Dedicated Tasting Room Associate/private bartender(s) for beverage service Event coordinator support throughout the planning process
  • IS THERE A MINIMUM FOR FOOD AND BEVERAGE?
    All space rentals are subject to a food and beverage minimum. The host is responsible for ensuring that the minimum is reached. If the minimum is not reached by the end of the event, the host is responsible to pay the difference or purchase additional products to go. Alcohol service may be hosted one of the following ways and may include a combination of the below.
  • HOSTED BAR
    Often referred to as an “open” bar. A hosted bar is covered by a single payer and our full selection of wines and wine cocktails are available to your guests by the glass. The average guest will consume one beverage per hour of your event. You may have your guests use drink tickets if you would like to limit the amount of hosted beverages (ie. 2 per person). With this option, your guests will have access to our full menu of products.
  • BOTTLE SERVICE
    If you’d like to pre-select wine bottles for your event, no more than three wine varieties may be chosen and must be pre-purchased by the case. Case discounts do not apply for on-site consumption and no refunds will be issued for unused bottles. Bottles may be taken home if not consumed! This option is best if you would like bottles on the table during dinner or if you’d like to gift your guests a bottle of wine to take home with them.
  • WINE TASTINGS
    If you would like to incorporate a wine tasting at your event, that can be an excellent way to introduce your guests to our variety of artisan wines. Wine Tastings may be scheduled for groups of up to 50 participants. For larger events, we may be able to stagger group tastings at different times.
  • CASH BAR
    Once you have reached your minimum in one of the above ways, we can offer a cash bar for your guests, or you may keep it open as hosted. You may pre-select the wine bottle options available to your guests, or allow your guests to order from our full wine/ wine cocktail offerings menus. We also offer a choice of drink tickets to provide each guest with. The drink tickets will be redeemed at the bar the day of your event and will ring in at the value of the drink ordered and based on consumption. We can work with you to create the best flow and recommend wines that will work best for your type of event.
  • WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR BEVERAGE SERVICE?
    All alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages must be purchased through AxeBridge or our sister company, Schram Vineyards catering. We do not allow any outside beverages to be brought in. As producers of artisan wine, our products are the key to hosting your AxeBridge wine experience.
  • WINE OPTIONS
    AxeBridge Wines include a variety of offerings for every palate - from big reds, to dry whites, to semi-sweet wines, rosés, sparkling and dessert wines. See our website for current wine offerings - they may change as we sell out and release new wines throughout the year. Wine Vermouth Cocktails available (please see menus) Seasonal rotating offerings such as wine slushies or mulled wine may also be available
  • BEER
    Craft beer from Schram Haus Brewery may be served if you also use Schram Vineyards catering for food service. Please ask for a current beer menu.
  • SPIRITS
    Schram Vineyards Catering can service spirits for your event with a Schram Vineyards food catering order. 5 rail spirit package (vodka, gin, rum, tequila, bourbon) $50 flat bar set-up fee + $12 per beverage 5 premium spirit package (vodka, gin, rum, tequila, bourbon) $50 flat bar set-up fee + $14 per beverage
  • NA
    Non-alcoholic options include sodas, ginger beer and sparkling water. Other NA options may be available upon request.
  • FOOD AND CATERING OPTIONS
    We now offer AxeBridge Catering for parties of all sizes! Your Event contact will provide you with our menu options based on your event type and space. We offer shareable platters, hot and cold items, buffet dinners, desserts and more. If you have a special menu request, please ask and our culinary team would be happy to work with you on a menu for a large party. Some outside dessert options may be brought in with prior approval. Please work with your Event Coordinator on details.
  • CAKE
    When renting a space, you may bring in a cake or dessert from a licensed kitchen. Cake fees may apply. You may also order desserts from our catering menu.
  • READY TO BOOK
    The rental fee is due in full, along with your signed rental agreement to reserve your space. The rental fee is non-refundable. Should you need to cancel the event. You may pay for your rental fee using a check or credit card. A 3% processing fee applies for all credit card rental payments. Your rental space is not reserved/booked until both the signed contract and rental fee are received by the Events Manager.
  • CANCELLATION POLICIES
    All space rentals are non-refundable once payment is made. Catering orders are non-refundable within two weeks of your event. If insinuating circumstances such as blizzard conditions, road closures, or a government mandated shut-down require that your event be canceled, we will hold your space rental fee and work with you to reschedule your event to a date within 6 months.
  • ADDITIONAL RENTAL POLICIES TO CONSIDER
    If the rental time frame ends prior to the closing time for that business day, event rental guests are welcome to continue enjoying the regular winery spaces as independent customers until the winery closing time. Anyone under the age of 21 years old will not be served alcohol. Staff may request ID from any guest attempting to purchase/consume alcohol and may refuse service to anyone at any time. Dogs and other domestic animals are not allowed inside the building. Trained service dogs are legally allowed anywhere their handler needs them to provide their assigned service and should be properly identified. Rental and catering pricing may change at any time at the discretion of AxeBridge or Schram Vineyards. Please ask for our most current pricing structure before booking an event or placing your catering order. AxeBridge Wine Co. will not be held liable for any injuries that may be sustained by your guests or vendors. AxeBridge Wine Co. will not assume any responsibility for damage or loss of any merchandise, personal items, or vehicles before, during, or after any event.
  • WHEN CAN I ACCESS THE SPACE FOR MY EVENT?
    30 minutes prior to the event start time. Full venue rentals may access up to one hour prior to event start time/guest arrival.
  • SERVICE CHARGE AND GRATUITIES
    A 20% service charge will be added to all beverage and food/catering purchases. This is not a gratuity, but rather a service charge that goes directly to the supporting staff working the day of your event. There is a 3% processing fee for all credit card paid invoices.
  • WHAT IS THE SET-UP FOR MUSIC?
    Full Venue Rentals only: You may bring a band or DJ for your event. Music can also be streamed through our Sirius XM business account for ambiance Small acoustic music sets may be accommodated in some of our spaces, but please inquire with your event contact if your space is suitable for live music and if there will be any fees associated.
  • WHAT DO YOU OFFER FOR PA/SPEAKER?
    We have a portable speaker and microphone for speeches or presentations. The speaker and microphone may only be used in the Champagne Room or Production Space. The speaker and microphone may be rented from AxeBridge for $30/hour. TELEVISION/ AV For Champagne Room rentals and venue buyouts, you can connect to TVs to display event information or for presentations to guests. We provide an HDMI cable for connecting your device to the TV. Any adapters for the HDMI cable are the responsibility of the renter. Information, images, audio, and video must not disrupt other guests or staff. AxeBridge reserves the right to discontinue use of TVs if use is disruptive. Decisions to discontinue renter use of AxeBridge TVs are at the sole discretion of our staff.
  • ARE YOU ADA ACCESSIBLE?
    While the main AxeBridge entrance has stairs leading down into the winery, the elevators can be accessed by entering the building under the 411 Washington awning closer to the bridge. To access the elevator, you will need a team member with an access card. Please call the winery on arrival or plan ahead to arrange access. The elevator will take you directly down to AxeBridge Wine Co. Inside, all of our spaces are ADA accessible.
  • ARE THERE ANY OTHER FUN ACTIVITIES WE CAN ADD?
    Absolutely! We have a custom created wine barrel cornhole game. This can be set up for an additional $30 fee for cocktail style events held in the barrel production area or patio for your guests to play. We have an array of board games available onsite. We can also have preferred craft and trivia vendors that we can connect you with. Prices associated with outside vendors are paid directly to them, AxeBridge does not coordinate the events or process/ collect any fees.
  • MAY I DECORATE FOR MY EVENT?
    You are welcome to decorate with tasteful decor! No open flame candles, glitter, confetti or similar material. Small table decorations, balloons and floral arrangements are welcome! If you wish to use table linens, special place settings, large decor displays, or unique decor items, or anything requiring electricity or installation, please get prior approval from your Event Manager. All decor items must be removed from the property after the event.
  • WHERE SHOULD MY GUESTS PARK FOR THIS EVENT?
    There is a parking ramp directly behind our building off of 3rd Ave. at 600 3rd Ave N in the “Steelman Exchange building” There is also plenty of metered parking in the area on Washington and side streets. Your guests may download the MPLS Parking app to pay associated parking fees or there is a meter pay station right outside of our front door.
  • CAN I OPEN THE GARAGE DOORS TO THE OUTDOOR PATIO?
    The production area is a working winemaking area and the barrels in that space hold wine. Depending on the time of year and what is in them, they do need to maintain a certain temperature to ensure quality. Please connect with your event manager the day of your event to get permission to open the glass garage doors, as it is 100% dependent on the weather temperature and conditions.
